It isn't about if you're the first to hear the music, but the fact that you're hearing it at all. I have an unnatural addiction to music. ♫ Matthew Ackers - And Man Lives On

Afraid to dream, I began to idle myself with other mundane interests. As the nights painfully turned into endless days, I found my homestead was accompanied by intrusive, unwelcome visitors. They would attempt to converse with me - their gaping mouths open in a perverse manner - spewing nonsense intended to taunt me. If I would attempt to slip into a well-earned slumber, their grotesque guffaw would jolt me awake. Irritated by the uninvited, I had no choice but to isolate myself. Nailing windows shut, bolting doors, covering up any gap in my flat that I could find - assuring myself they could no longer sneak in. Convinced I was finally alone, I could feel my spine unhinging, my shoulders sulking, and my heavy, cemented eyes finally closing - slipping into an eternal reverie. Ghoulish greeters. Demonic delusions.

Matthew Akers composes foreboding, haunting, giallo-esque work suitable for imaginary films. With drum machines that clap and synths that build to a near-scream, the work found on “The Elders Of New Detroit” signals the awakening of something sinister. Vexing, taunting, lurking - slyly waiting in the shadows until the time is right to strike. Calamitous composer.

He also released “The Future Barbarians” - an ode to 80s sci-fi, low budget films. You can get it here.
